1. Blatche - I thought everything started to work for us when he entered the game in the 1st quarter. Superb games from him and Arenas both but since we've never seen this from AB before, he gets my vote.
2. Gil - if this is serious Gil, I hope he never talks to the media again.
3. Stevenson - By all rights this should probably be Miller or Foye, but I thought DS was just about perfect in the first half. He shot the ball well, defended and even did a decent job passing the ball. At this point, Young's butt should be picking up splinters for the foreseeable future as DS is just playing like a solid pro (kind of "Oberto like") and we really don't need a one-dimensional scorer but a complimentary player like DS.

Gotta go with 7-day Dre, although Gilbert could get this too. Both were fantastic.

Had to go with Dray for POTG. But DeBrick quietly put up 10 and 6. If he's healthy and hitting that outside shot, he really helps us off the bench.

1. Gilbert - Had the perfect game. Deadly from the perimeter. Getting to the lane and line at will, Dishing it out well, even added a few boards.
2. Dray - Tough not to give the award to him. Great game. As I said in the game-thread, it wasn't his points or fg% that impressed me most. It was the way he got his buckets. It wasn't the Andray Blatche show. It was the Wizards show featuring Andray Blatche. And there is a big distinction.
3. Foye - Very nice 3rd option today. hit his shots, made some real nice passes and grabbed a few rebounds too.
HM: Haywood who unsurprisingly played some solid defense. Oberto who is one of the best passing big-men in the league today. Stevenson who didn't look like crap.

I dog on Dray for his jumpshots all the time...
but DAMN, I don't think I've ever seen such an example of someone who just WOULDN'T miss. What a game!

Gilbachi -- half court shot is back.
All Day Dray -- love the output, but he still hasn't done it two games in a row. I ain't giving him POG until he can make it routine like Gil does.
Foye -- 8 dimes, building his PG skills

Gil had a great game, but I gotta go with the Seventh-Dray Adventist. If he keeps putting on clinics like that, he'll have to change his name to Pete Newell.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Agree with this. Thing is, I expect this kind of performance out of Gilbert. I did not ever think Bulletproof would have a night like this. Game ball to 7-day...

I'm developing a man-crush for Blatche. Jesus, ridiculous opening week he's had. Gilbert, 32 points with only 13 attempts. Reminds me of that one game against Memphis 3 years ago, 9/11 from the field with 31. Back-to-back games and doesn't look like that knee of his is aching, thank God. Great overall teamwork tonight, with 28 dimes.

Arenas, Blatche, Foye.
As amazing as Blatche was, Arenas was amazing-er. And that's got to make you feel good.

Blatche - He's playing like I've expected him to play for the last few seasons. He's putting it together defensively and offensively. I'm impressed.
Arenas - Of course he would dominate Alston. Limited TO's and really kept the pressure on the Nets
Oberto - between him and Haywood we have toughness we haven't had in the past. His passing as a big really makes the offensive fun to watch.
