Inexcusable, really his free throw shooting is simply a disgrace.

Bottom line is two games in row, Gil missed two with the game on the line.
Bye bye Beal.

Considering they used replays to make their calls, I'm not sure what a challenge would do.

I'm with nate, that deserves an official protest.

Apathetic fans/management/coaches/ownership do not protest anything. If this happens in LA or Boston, Refs would be under investigation.

Indiana was 26-28 from the line (with 1 intentional miss). The Wizards were 15-23 (65%)

I give up. Wake me up when Miller returns and when somebody decides to move anybody on this embarrassment of a team. Playoffs? I don't want to hear about being a couple games out. F that.

Yes, that's where the game was lost.

A challenge would have gotten Gilbert 2 FT's on the play they TOOK AWAY his 2 POINTS. Even though the replay CLEARLY showed he was fouled, they chose to ignore that and simply take away the points.

Refs took the shot Gil made, and they swallowed the whistle from him being fouled.

Then, they give a long .5 secs and they call a game-deciding foul.
Bye bye Beal.

What happened? I was following the game on ESPN gamecast as well as their live score page, and it had Washington winning by 1 point several minutes ago. Now they changed it to Pacers winning.

That was a weird end. It felt like the Belichick call, and Faulk's catch that bobbled before he caught it behind the first down. I think both teams had some things to be disappointed about, and the teams looked different from quarter to quarter. Good game nonetheless.

This is the worst of all possible outcomes. I'd rather lose badly and have an excuse to blow it up. Now the Wizards can say it was a fluke due to bad refereeing and bad free throw shooting.

At least Randy Whittman has heart. He got the early T. Hell, as poorly as the team played and the officials reffed, he still did not pick up a tech. I would have gone after the refs at the end. He's got his $$$. What does he care?

must be a new trend in DC about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

This has been the story of this team since the inception of the Big 3. Every series VS Cleveland, every big game comes down to Refs and not being able to play through it. Mentally weak teams cannot play through corrupt officiating mandated by a corrupt commissioner.

Bad refs, bad ft shooting, and a bad substitution by Flip at the end.
Bye bye Beal.

The call was defensible... you could argue that Wood got him with the body with time left on the clock...

Here's the list of indefensible infractions:
1. Starting Dsuck
2. DSuck under the bucket with 5 tenths of a second left
3. Not playing N1 til the second half
4. Yanking N1 after he had been practically perfect and was heating up
5. Playing McGee 1 tenth of a second
6. Jamison all day everyday
7. Not boxing out on free throws

The Flip era could be a short one
In Rizzo we trust
