I posted this elsewhere, but this really seems like it might be worth a thread all its own (if not, feel free to close):

And because I'm really serious:
Edit: FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
ed wood wrote:I'm serious, if everyone here with insider doesn't design a play that requires that Andray and Nick be in the game (and JaVale if that's your preference, I can understand his treatment at least to some extent) and prohibits the use of DeShawn Stevenson then I'm taking you all off of my birthday invite list and I'll spend way more time writing dumb stories and posting bad trades (all my trades). Basically if you have insider you better be coming up with a play that involves lob options for the shooting guard and power forward spots and if you don't you had better be buying it right now jerk.

Re: Contest: Design an Inbounds Play for the Wizards
i'd rather have butler and haywood's positions in that play flipped because:
1 - butler receives the initial pass instead of wood
2 - wood's a better option to screen a PF off jamison than butler
3 - wood ends up weak side for the o-board/easy dunk if the C doubles gil

I'd draw one up if I were an insider.
I'd have Haywood, Oberto, McGuire, Stevenson and Crittenton in and we're calling the play 'Forlorn Hoop'.

All good points, and if I were operating without ulterior motives I would make that change without hesitation. However:
1. If getting it into Wood is a significant issue (say the team needs a quick shot) they should be using a real play designed by a real basketball person.
2. The play is designed to encourage having Miller, Blatche and Young in the game. The three man is there to receive a kickout if the defense collapses.
3. In the unlikely event that the team accepts my submission and the the then likely event that they run it with Butler on the floor the mopey bastard is going to be setting screens 'til he's blue in the face.
4. GIVE IT TO ANDRAY IN THE POST ONCE IN A WHILE MAYBE!
