Re: Clev Game Thread: Guns Allowed
Well my point is that none of that matters. All you have to do is wait a few more games to find out. You will know who is right in about 5 more games because Gil is pretty good now, everyone will be back, everyone is use to the system, and we have a lineup switch. If we still lose or are average then you can blow it up but if they roll off like 8 in a row or 8 of 10 then you cant automatically say that he's wrong. You just cant, espically with the sked that is coming up. Im hoping that Stern doesnt make a move before then but he probably will

Re: Clev Game Thread: Guns Allowed
We've as much chance of 'turning things around' as a grand piano that's been dropped from the summit of a sky scraper.
To think, Miller comes back right now. After Gil's got Al Sharpton, Karl Malone and Al Roker calling for a public hanging. Well, OK, I'm just assuming with Al.
Did you ever see that movie 'A Bridge Too Far'? Miller coming back now is like when the Brit paratroopers were bogged in with no supplies, so command air dropped a set of supply canisters that fell into no mans land. A young private runs out to grab one - could be food, could be bullets - and is at a mad dash in bringing it back before getting plugged by a sniper. But he drops it as he dies and the whole miserable Battalion sees the damn thing was filled with raspberry berets the whole stinkin' time.
Of course I suppose we here on the board have known for a while that Miller, bless him, is a drum of berets as "Jerry's got us pinned in the bosk pretty good, aye Guv?"
Somehow to have the game thread be as woe begotten as this kind of cracks me up though.
No need to discuss tactical adjustments, "slather in thy own despair" gets to the crux of it much better.

Cleveland trades: Z + Powe + 1st
Washington trades: Jamison + Stevenson
No chance Ferry brings in Stevenson That would be funny though.
But take out the 1st for a 2nd and swap in another scrub for Stevenson and you have a deal. Assuming a Z-buyout.

Comcast HD looks surprisingly good tonight. Of course they have to do it on a day like this.

It does look really nice, just as good as a nationally televised game. But is it just me, or is it being shot at a really low angle?

Any hope I had of Blatche developing into a quality PF is evaporating quickly. He plays like a cricket out there. How many times has he been swatted toinght? His post moves are sickening and his shot has barely looked better than haywoods jump hook.

I don't know why some of you are sooo high on Blatche. I have had it up to here with this finesse $h!t. Ship his arse out too. This team is loaded with garbage.

Re: Clev Game Thread: Guns Allowed
It amazes me how undermatched the Wizards are against the Cavs. This is like a 1 seed playing a 16 seed in the NCAA's. This team needs a serious talent influx. Some dark times are on the horizen if EG decides to blow it up.

Foye looking better than he ever has against a solid defender in West. Maybe he's better when not playing in Gil's shadow.

Re: Clev Game Thread: Guns Allowed
Does anyone know the status of Crittenton? Ive always liked him as a player more than most have and I just feel that he could be a great player in Flip's system. His style seems just like the kind of guy Flip wants as I think he would push tempo, penetrate alot, and pass 1st. Everytime I hear about him though, it doesnt ever seem like he's getting much better. Does anyone know how far his ankle is away from playing? He may not be able to play anyways after this incident but I dont think Stern is going to come down on him too harsh as it seems like it was more of a Gil thing

Jamison is playing like he's auditioning for his new team, with 15 points in the third quarter after a poor first half.

I hate when Flip calls that stupid zone. That gimmicky **** does not work.
