Speaking of 4 year college players, one guy who you have as borderline draftable that I think will have a long Kurt Thomas type career is Rick Jackson. He may be a bit vertically challenged for a C, but he's a moose with surprisingly good all-around skills.

If you do not draft a guy like Shane Battier, you will have multiple chance to get him if you want him and there will no doubt be other similar players like him available.

This is why (rightly) GMs are trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Because lightning is what wins in the NBA. The first round is about finding future stars, the second round and free agency are about finding role players.

Let's be real, these teams that are "lotto bound" more than likely have been in that same draft position year after year and if they haven't drafted or found their "LeBron, Durant, or Dwight" then maybe it's time to draft guys who actually can play instead of looking to cultivate these underclassmen into "stars".

None of the teams drafting in the lottery have really picked a super high upside guy in a while.

That's my point pretty much.

LeBron, Durant, Dwight don't come around often but solid players are in the draft constantly or sometimes teams just draft terrible but the point is teams can't keep drafting BPA hoping they land "The One" and since Jet Li doesn't ball, these teams need to start drafting around what they do have.

Finding it remarkable only a mere three centers are listed. On top, theres one international and the first one taken is at position 39.

Thats just seems unlikely.

Valanciunas will be on that list as I don't think he'll declare. He may actually wait until 2013 or 2014 before he considers NBA.

Philipp Neumann, a center, could be another interesting prospect. He's a definite project, one who could succeed or fail. Nonetheless, he's a player to look out for.

And of course, there's Lucas Nogueira. He may or may not declare for this year's draft. His decision is not dependent on lockout.

It is pretty unlikely all the Euros in my 2011 mock will actually declare. Those who do not, will show up on here and even it out more.

Please coordinate with all the other teams so no one drafts Chris Singleton before it's our turn at the podium.

I just throw the darts at the wall, whether they hit a center or a small forward is in god's hands.

Not sure at all about Jazz picking Jones, team already has enough attitude and PFs and traded away Deron because of his attitude...

Jones, while supremely talented, really is a bad fit in Detroit both skill-wise and personality-wise.

In the scenario you present, I bet Duamrs would opt to take Knight.

I like the Thompkins pick in the 2nd though.

You still have Durrell Summers barely hanging in there. As an MSU fan, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that unless he blows everyone away in workouts (I mean really WOW them), he won't sniff the draft. He was abysmal this year.
