I don't think he'll be drafted as a combo, I think he'll be seen as a pure SF who's compared to MKG and Gerald Wallace

Tony Mitchell had three points and five turnovers in a loss to Louisiana Lafayette. His team is 3-5 and his coach hates him for being a lazy dumbass and his stats have declined across the board.

Cleveland is all about the advanced metrics and the NCAA to NBA metrics the statguys love most are players with high Reb, Blk, Stl numbers where Mitchell's numbers are incredible for a possible SF (currently at 10.8 reb, 4.1 blk, 2.7 stls per 40 minutes). Thompson got picked 4th overall with 10.2 reb, 3.1 blk, 1.2 stl. Waiters averaging 3.0 stls per 40 for a gaurd was the biggest thing that made him check out with those stats (and 4 assists+ per 40 probably helped too). If I'm right about CLE using metrics that love players with non scoring stats, I think Mitchell might actually check out for them better than either Thompson or Waiters, since Thompson had rebounding/blks and Waiters had stls, but Mitchell has all 3 of rebounds, blocks and steals

CJ Leslie and Le'Bryan Nash will not be going ahead of Otto Porter. And certainly not to Orlando who has no use for a SF.

Dr. P, considering that your methodology has lead you to believe that guys like Meyers Leonard, Jeremy Lamb , Scout Machado etc.. would be the top playesr in the last draft , have you made any changes to your ranking system?

Who says they won't be? Machado and Lamb haven't even gotten NBA minutes and everyone knew Leonard wouldn't produce immediately. At this point it's definitely too early to judge prospects, for example in 2009 Tyreke and Jennings were amazing by this point in their rook seasons and Harden and Curry were nothing, and now Harden and Curry are top 10-15 MVP candidate guys. Btw I also ranked Thomas Robinson out of the top 20, Austin Rivers out of the top 30 and Andrew Nicholson top 6-7, so there are players my system looks pretty good for so far rankings wise to go beside the ones who haven't busted out of the gate, the Robinson prediction in particular looks just beautiful

So its safe to assume that your ranking methods are the same, and that puts your mock into context for me. Thanks.

Doesent the Lakers pick go to Phoenix if it falls 1-14?
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."
