What is the scouting report on Nash? I thought he was a pretty ho hum prospect, but don't know him well. Bucks need (and have a history of) taking high ceiling guys, since we need a SF, I think I would like Poythress or Giannis a bit more.

This assumes that we retain Redick

Nash is that type of high upside/risky pick, as he has great physical tools (size/speed) for a SF and flashes of greatness in his skill game (post play) but has been as enigmatic as anyone production wise in college

Nash's production stayed the same at relatively low level. Sure his efficiency rose to passable, but that's mostly due to cutting threes by third and having defense attention shift to Marcus Smart. He looks athletic because he's pretty big, fast and long but he's not quick or agile and his handles are average at best. Don't think his raw post game translates into pros.

something i've found interesting: archie goodwin is all over people's boards. i've seen him as high as six (here) and as low as 28-30 in other mocks. wonder where he'll end up.

Yeah he's getting pushed on both sides, on one hand the combine and workout stage overwhelmingly favors the athletic freaks, especially when they have high motors. OTOH prospects who miss the tournament or are on underwhelming bubble teams usually don't do well, I'd argue Alec Burks and Jeremy Lamb's lack of team success or the national buzz that comes with it was the main reason they didn't get top 6-7 in their years

I'd have Goodwin outside of the top 10 for most teams atm but Detroit is unique in that they can't take Bennett, Len, or Zeller so that leaves them a lot less options in the 6-10 if those guys are there and I'm selling the Shabazz stock for his draft position, I think his lack of elite athleticism and being projected as an undersized SF instead of a big 2, will hurt him a lot

Goodwin has great size and atheltic ability for an nba swing.
He will likely test well and pass the eye test.

If he can show improved ball handling and shooting in his workouts, he could easily be a top 10 pick

If he can wow in workouts he might be able to slip into the lottery. Truth is he hasn't been productive.

O I know he hasn't been productive. Just saying production doesn't always mean everything during the draft process.
With a pretty big class vim g in next year, he could be hard pressed to make the jump in a weaker draft this year.

He's the type of player that shoot up the board just based off athletic testing and workouts. There's always the athletic wing that suddenly shows a vastly improved jumper in workouts and shoots up the board.

Len would be a solid pick for us.

Do you think there are teams that would be interested in our #28 & #31 picks? Perhaps bundled with our #11 pick?

If the Cavs took like the 5th best center and 5th best player on Kentuckys bad team this year in the top 10 I would throw up.
