If Gary Harris is there at #13 then the Wolves will nab him.
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Like a third of your second round is going back to school most likely. And if Hollis-Jefferson declared, he would be more likely to be a lotto pick than a second rounder.

No love for DeAndre Kane admittedly old yet could be a defensive athletic guard with above avg rebounding and assisting tools off the bench?

Yeah I leave most guys in there until we know for sure. Walker is going back for sure now. Most likely a handful of others. Guys like DeAndre Kane and Johnny O' Bryant could take their place.

As for RHJ, I like him, but I don't think he will be much more than an energetic defensive specialist off the bench. He has a very low skill level, especially on offense.

Cleanthony can certainly score buckets, but we already got a pretty good SF. And PJ3's gathering dust behind him. Not to mention Roberson and Lamb. Personally, I think we need another PF. I could see us focusing on Patric Young. It appears most mocks have him mid second round... maybe we trade down? But who knows, maybe we need another rotation scorer?

As far as fit, I agree, with you, but if he's still available, I think they would take Early at 29 given the value and Roberson's offensive limitations. Perry can slide to four in a small lineup.

Utah won't draft Randle. Kanter already does the same things he does on offense, except he is bigger, stronger and more skilled. In this scenario I think that we'd go with Embiid. As much talk as there is about Favors and Kanter both being centers, the only reason they don't work together is because Kanter is a defensive sieve. If Embiid is off the board along with the rest of the big three I think we'd be 50/50 between Smart and Exum.

At 23, I really doubt Rodney Hood is someone we'd consider. Small forwards who can't rebound aren't in high demand. PJ Hairston, GRIII, KJ McDaniels and Damien Inglis would all be higher on our wishlist. We need someone who works well off the ball because we already have a lot of wings who are better with it (Burks, Hayward). Hairston, especially, reminds me of Wes Matthews and the Jazz still regret getting rid of him.

For our final pick a backup point guard does seem likely. I don't know anything about Micic, but I don't see anyone later in the draft that I'd have to have.

Capela is an interesting prospect. Wouldn't be the first time Presti's shopped in Europe (Ibaka, Pleiß, Abrines). He has the length and athleticism, but I've read that he's got some attitude issues. A poor character has always been a deal breaker so that will warrant a much closer look.

I'm not as much a fan of Napier as some. And I don't think he's got the length or athleticism that Presti looks for in players. At the end of the first round I think the pick will be either Burton, Micic or Christon. I also think it's quite possible Presti trades down if he believes he can get his guy ten spots or so later in the draft.

Randle has a better first step and much more mentally imposing and naturally aggressive. Kanter is solid, but I rate Randle as a decidedly more enticing prospect and think he would be slightly more complimentary to Favors than Embiid. My mocks are a prediction, and I think if we consider the skepticism of Noel last year when he was touted as a likely 1st overall pick and slipped to sixth, it's not unreasonable to see this type of drop for Joel - even if unwarranted.

As far as Hood goes, he projects as a SF/SG, where rebounding is certainly not a primary concern. Even if it were, do you worry that much about a shooter who averaged 3.9 RPG? He would instantly become the best shooter on the Jazz and by most standards would be considered a steal at 23. The guys who listed above him are questionable at best (in popular opinion and my own opinion in this case). But you have highlighted the fact that I've completely lost Damien Inglis and Rasmus Larsen from my draft spreadsheet.

For Napier, I like the comparison of a slightly poor man's Terry. I can relate to your doubts about him as a prospect. His status is inflated due to his tournament performance. I've taken this into account in my draft. If I were you, I would prefer Micic as well. They don't need him now, with both Westbrook and Reggie at that position. He could stay overseas for a year if they wanted.

Aggressiveness is NOT Kanter's weakness. Randle is extremely redundant with Kanter on board and I think that our front office will see that. I would be shocked if we drafted him. As for Hood, we tend to play quite a bit of small ball, putting a small forward in for 10-15 minutes per game at the 4. Hood isn't a guy that can do that, so unless he has some other elite skill besides shooting I don't think the Jazz draft him. Inglis can hold his own there, so I would be more in his camp...but I think that we would be extremely attracted to Hairston. He has the shooting ability and the defense, plus he makes one of Hayward/Burks more expendable. Of course, with a new coach things will change a lot.

My main point with Randle over Kanter, is that I just think Randle is a much overall better propect. I respect that you disagree, and I'm sure you've seen a lot more of Kanter than I have, being a Jazz fan. This is based on what I've seen for myself - no hard feelings. Wasn't pointing out Kanter's lack of aggressiveness as much as Randle's excessive amounts.

Hood did play at power forward for stretches at Duke, but I agree he would struggle to do so in the NBA. His release is so high and quick and he can shoot off screens pretty well. I think he would be a great compliment to the playmaking abilities of Burke and Hayward. Hairston has a bit of a risk factor for me with questions about his effort going back to his freshman year in college. Gets lazy on defense. If a good coach can reel him in, he could be alright. With Hood, I think you more or less know what you're getting.

I can't envision the 76ers taking both Jabari Parker and Doug McDermott. If the 76er take Parker, and Aaron Gordon is still on the board when they pick at #10, they will take him.

I'm on board for Utah, this would be a killer draft. I think we'd be town between Adams and Micic, though.

OKC would be lucky to draft Payne

They could run smallball and still have durant at the 3,

Ibaka
Payne
Durant
Westbrook
Jackson

In my opinion he goes a few spots earlier than that as a mid level east tean that didnt make the playoffs takes a chance
