better shooting Wade is probably the closest.
You probably just trade Rozier, play Fultz as a supersub back-up G in his 1st year before IT and Bradley hit FA, figure it out from there.
Smart can play 4 positions, so it doesnt matter, you just put him in wherever you need him.

And you'd take him at #1 for Boston? No one else?

Fultz is a tough guy to give an accurate comparison of. There's some Wade in there, and I see some D'Angelo Russell as well. I think Fultz is a definite upgrade over Rozier, but if Boston takes him I think he's a 6th man 3rd guard off the bench for a little while. Time would tell who the expendable guy would be, or maybe you play all 3 guards together and try to make that work.

Fultz is the top guy right now, but I think it's too early to count other top options out. Especially given the shaky fit Fultz is there.

If the Sixers in your hypothetical mock had picks 2 and 7 wouldn't it make much more sense to draft either Jackson or Tatum with the #2 and then take whichever of DSJ, Ball, Ntilikina or Monk fell to them?

That is certainly an option, but I think with Philly it's less about filling out positions and more about surrounding Simmons with guys who can fit in his orbit. Smith at #2 and Monk at #7 are both great fits with Simmons IMO. Monk is an off the ball jump shooter who can score without dominating the ball and Smith is a crazy athletic guard who also doesn't need to dominate the ball to be effective. They are, IMO, the best combination of talent and fit for Philly.

Philly is in an enviable position of having two great picks and a lot of talented guys they could use to fill them who will fit what they are trying to do.

I see you've taken out Collins from both Gonzaga and Wake Forest. I'm very high on both. Any thoughts on whether they should go back to school?

I've never had either guy in my 2017 mock, but I think John Collins will be in my next one. He's too good to not move into this year IMO. I think he could be this year's Marquise Chriss, a guy who really skyrockets on draft boards late in the process.

I think Zach Collins is a talented guy, but def needs to go back to Gonzaga for another year. Another season as more of a centerpiece will drive up his draft stock if he plays well.

My mistake - they were in your 2018 mock. I agree with your comments on both.

I don't know if I'd take OG out yet. If he looks on track health wise he is a perfect fit for Toronto. And with two 1st round picks to play with they could offer a promise to keep him in draft (assuming one isn't used at deadline).

Don't know about his health issues, hope he does get on track. However, doubt he'd get past DEN who looks to have a need for a SF and OG looks like a perfect fit next to Jokic.
