Trade Advice, Howard for Lee

Post#1 » by jbohle » Fri Feb 7, 2014 7:07 pm

I'm in a 12-team, head-to-head points league where scoring is as follows:

Points (PTS) 0.5 Blocks (BLK) 3
Steals (STL) 3 Assists (AST) 2
Rebounds (REB) 2 Turnovers (TO) -3
Field Goals Made (FGM) 1 Field Goals Attempted (FGA) -0.5
Free Throws Made (FTM) 1 Free Throws Attempted (FTA) -0.75
Three Pointers Made (3PM) 2.75 Three Pointers Attempted (3PA) -0.75

My roster is currently:
Steph Curry
Russell Westbrook
Klay Thompson
James Harden
Chandler Parsons
Terrence Jones
J.J. Hickson
Kawhi Leonard
David Lee
Randy Foye
Tiago Splitter
Kobe Bryant
Bradley Beal

Needless to say, I'm holding on to some injured players in Westbrook and Leonard, and I just acquired Kobe for very little. I'm currenly 9-5, 5th in the league, and I'm not worried about making playoffs.

I was just offered Dwight Howard and Trey Burke for David Lee and Kawhi Leonard, but I don't really want to give up Kawhi because I know that at the end of the season, him and Splitter are going to be the ones getting big minutes on the Spurs while Pop rests Parker, Manu and Timmy. However, I do want Howard, so I would have Harden, Parsons, Jones, and Howard, the Rockets whole team basically, and they have four games in the championship week (assuming I'd get there) and three games in the playoff weeks before.

I'm trying to work something out by giving him Thompson and Lee for Howard and Burke, but if he doesn't go for that, any input on the original trade offer in Lee/Leonard for Howard/Burke?
