Keeper: Kevin Love or LaMarcus Aldridge?

Post#1 » by HighTop3000 » Fri Aug 8, 2014 9:47 am

After the trade, who is the better player to have as my keeper along with my second keeper in John Wall?

Aldridge already proved himself last season and he put up big numbers throughout the season, Love was one the best fantasy players last season of course but now he is in a new situation.

Who would you guys pick?

Yeah I can keep both, but would it not be better if I can keep a big and a point guard instead of two bigs?

I don't think Love's stats is going to tank as much as people think. His game is built to be a mega 2nd option star. He won't have the ball in his hands as much but that wasn't his strength anyways, it was being able to cleverly score the ball in so many different ways, and having actual scoring options like LeBron and Irving should accentuate his game more. He won't score as many points but I see his assists and efficiency going up.

With that said the wildcard is David Blatt. He's trying to instill an offense predicated on ball movement like the Spurs, and that's going to diminish the individual abilities of his top players.

I'd say Love.

Between Love and LMA, I'd choose Love as he has a more "balanced" game. His numbers will likely take a hit though now that he's got better teammates to share the duties with, but I don't think the drop would be drastic. But there is a strong potential too that he slides down to round 2. I am thinking it would be like how Bosh's numbers declined when he joined the Heat, and not to mention that the Cavs have an obviously better team.

But I agree more on keeping both Love and LMA. That way, you can focus on targeting guards come draft night especially in the earlier rounds where the elite PG's dwell and try to reinforce your big man stats as you go along without much pressure. Unlike having a point guard and a big man at the start and trying to balance your team by picking alternately. I just find it easier that way.

LOVE all the way, percentages get better, way more 3's, massive board numbers, all these q's with production going down etc...

LOVE will be a TOP 10 player for the year... LOCK IT
Have you seen his new assists numbers as well...

LA doesnt board reg, no 3's ... Nuff said

of course Love will be a top 10 player lol, thats not a bold prediction. its just a question of whether or not he will be top 5 again. his counting stats will go down but his efficiency should go up, will be interesting to see what numbers he puts up.

and yeah Love over LMA should be obvious, the question is whether to keep Wall or LMA and i would prefer LMA easily.

I'd still chose K-Love.

But it's fantasy. All about fantasy points not what makes sense on the basketball court... Can't you play one at C and other at PF
