Fantasy basketball trade

Post#1 » by fozzy4ever » Tue Jun 23, 2015 9:25 pm

I was offered John Wall, Chris Bosh and Julius Randel for Blake Griffin. He also has the two 1st round picks in the upcoming rookie draft, picks number 2&4 out of 8 teams.

I don’t have a 1st round pick, but have two 2nd rounds picks, the first pick in the second round and 7th pick.

I’m looking for advice, should I sit and try to draft one of the point guards (Payne) and a big (Turner) and keep building? Or pull the trade ?
Here’s my roster
C Marcin Gortat, Wizards
C Omar Asik, Pelicans
C/F Pau Gasol, Bulls
C/F Jared Sullinger, Celtics
F David Lee, Warriors
F Carlos Boozer, Lakers
F Rudy Gay, Kings
F Luol Deng, Heat
F Blake Griffin, Clippers
F Thaddeus Young, 76ers
F Kenneth Faried, Nuggets
F/G Tyreke Evans, Pelicans
G Tim Hardaway , Jr New York
G Mike Conley, Grizzlies
G Stephen Curry, Warriors
G Brandon Jennings, Pistons
G Jeremy Lin, Lakers
G Rajon Rondo, Celtics
G J.R Smith, New York

I'm cutting JR and Asik.

John Wall + Chris Bosh for Blake Griffin is a steal for you IMHO. Per game Griffin was 23rd, Wall 23rd. Bosh 38th. (Source: https://fasketball.com/players/rankings) Both Wall and Griffin will likely take a half step forward.

Not sure about your draft situation. Just remember people overvalue potential so use that to your advantage to get solid vets.

Wall's a little overrated fantasy wise imo, but it's still an easy yes. I'd look to flip Randle if you can. He's got some nice name value but I think he's going to be pretty useless in the long run due to his lack of defensive stats. He's got a terrible wingspan and only averaged about 1.25 steals + blocks per game in college. He might end up being a nice real life basketball player, but his game doesn't project to be very fantasy friendly.
