Alley-Hoops Calling for GMs

Post#143 » by OnFire » Wed Nov 10, 2010 5:40 am

it's one of the longest-running
SIM Leagues on the planet.

competitive GMs, a great
commissioner's office,
high activity with SIMs
every day except
Wednesday and Sunday.

we're early into our
new season and have
GM openings for:

BOS Celtics
– even in SIM League, it has a wining tradition

MIA Heat
– found its groove; leading the Atlantic

WAS Wizards
– had major cap space this past offseason;
will still have more in the next; a rebuilder's
delight

HOU Rockets
– two-time League champs, 'nuff said

MIN Timberwolves
– has a solid young core in place; the right
GM will take it to the top of the mountain

LA Lakers
– K-Love and Eric Gordon call Tinseltown home
in this league; can you be its next Zen Master?

PHO Suns
– Melo is the face of the franchise here;
serious cap space in the offseason to
put pieces around him.

Hey guys. 8 man Rotisserie league on Yahoo! needs 2 more players as 2 guys just dropped out last minute. $50 fee which goes into a pot to be rewarded at the end of the season. Do snot need to pay the $50 right away, but would like for it to be paid by the New Year. It's not a keeper league so it'll wrap up once the season is done. Draft is tomorrow night (Sunday November 21, 2010) at 8:45pm. If you're interested, leave a response with your email and I'll send the league details.

Thanks guys!

Ready to join the best league on the internets?
look no further ;)

www.nbaliveleague.com

one season per year, sims done using nba 2k10, real injuries, calculated ratings
great code makes the site look pro like

free teams

New Jersey (with Wade and Iguodala, a powerhouse)
Atlanta (Rose)
Charlotte (Aldridge, Nene)
Detroit (Brooks, Randolph)
Warriors (Carter, Beasley)
Houston (Davis, Stuckey, Ming)

The Game: Unlike most other leagues on the web NLL v2 has restricted itself to a slow pace. We are following the NBA Season (including Preseason and a Summer League), playing only one season per year. This enables us to come closest to the real thing. No made-up rookies, no early or late retirements, real injuries...

The Site: The NLL web-site is dynamic. Submitted games are processed automatically. Scores, standings and stats are updated immediately. Trades and line-up changes are also processed in real time. Every GM can edit his team-page according to his wishes. There's a gallery every GM can contribute to. There are also detailed statistics for both players and teams.
Baseline: the site is updated a couple of times each day (by various people).

Who is welcome to join?

Please note that because of all these features NLL demands a rather high level of participation from its GMs. What separates a non-modem-league from playing franchise all by yourself is the interaction with other GMs. So that's what we want.

If you want to join the NLL please fill out this form. Or contact one of the commishes.

What are a GM's resposibilities?

Sim at least two sim-games assigned by the league each week.
Set lineups and team-strategies.
Manage the roster through signings, trades, drafts.
Post team-news and recaps regularly.
Be active in the community.

About Us

NLL - The Early Days

nbaliveleague.com, short NLL, was founded during the summer of 2001. After a change of ownership within the first couple of weeks, NLL has established itself as one of the top online communities for EA's NBA Live.
NLL v2

After adopting the sim-system early on, NLL was the first major league to dedicate itself to a slow pace in the fall of 2002. With only one NLL season per real life year (following the NBA season) the league achieves a maximum of realism for it's GMs. Player-ratings are updated on a monthly basis, based on NBA performace. Injuries are real life injuries. Even salary-cap rules are as close to the real thing as possible.

Like the idea behind the league, the interactive NLL site keeps on setting standards for every non-profit league on the web. It is designed to create a maximum of involvement from GMs, who have a multitude of ways to contribute to the content of the site. Spanning from team-news over pictures for the gallery to entire team-pages.

A core of players has been playing together for several years now and for most GMs the league has become more than just another game they play. It's the game. They are dedicated to their franchises, battling through bad times, injuries, long summers, longer regular seasons, with only one goal in mind. To one day win a NLL championship.

As a consequence of all the features offered by the league, NLL demands a high level of participation and dedication from it's players. There is also a multitude of rules and regulations in place to protect the integrity of the league

Eastside Fantasy - vacancies

Post#146 » by EastsideCommish » Tue Oct 4, 2011 9:41 am

We have a few managers who have failed to return and our preseason is already underway. We have done the lottery and draft and kickoff restricted free agency this weekend, the first real event where we simply must have active managers. We have already replaced 2 guys and are looking for two more active GM's.

18 team Salaried dynasty league
Established league 6th season, great, active group of GM's
yahoo! weekly format,
2 x PG, SG, SF, PF, C, U, plus 6 bench (18 total)
Modified cats - FGM, FTM, 3PM, PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK, TO

The league features fully updated rosters using googledocs. We run a real draft lottery, hold restricted/unrestricted free agency, have a trade review committee, rules concerning trades, waivers, buyouts, 14 day contracts, tanking, etc

Serious, knowledgable, highly active GM's only need apply.
More info on request via PM.

Hey guys. My name is John and I am a basketball recruiting manager at ProFSL. ProFSL is a website dedicated to advanced fantasy leagues. Here are some of the leagues we have with openings and just wanted to spread the word a little bit. If you have any questions just let me know by email. My email is traitor@fleetsix.org. Thanks.

1.) AGM NBA - http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=1433.0

Ever wonder what its like to be a real GM or how about an Agent. This new NBA league has the feel of reality. If you are a GM you pick your team inherit there roster and contracts. You will deal with agents for extensions, free agency and drafting rookies. Or try being an agent. An auction draft will determine your roster, then you play in fantasy basketball against other agents. Plus you will deal with GM's and try and get the most money for you clients. After all, Agents want money right! For more info or please visit the link below

2.) WSOK NBA - http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=1039.0

New NBA free league. No contracts, keep 5 players from year to year. A slow auction draft will determine the rosters. League will be done on yahoo.

3.) March Madness - Entering year 2 March Madness will kick off in October, we have 42 active owners. The goal is 65. Pick your team inherit there players, bid on freshman, sign up for pre-season tournaments, and take your team to the top.

http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=491

4.) College Hoops Gameday - Free redraft league for NCAA D-1 basketball. League includes promotional payouts and referral bonuses for new members to ProFSL. Any team in the country is available, so come sign up and take your team to the top. Scoring takes place on Fantrax.

Westside Fantasy Basketball is a 16 team - H2H - standard 9 categories- salary cap dynasty league which has been going on for 2 years. We are about to enter our 3rd season and have picked up the pace for the preparation of off-season activities which consists of a rookie draft followed by a free agent draft.

Currently we are finalizing our activity check and it appears there will be a few teams available.

At ProFSL, we have started an exciting, new 30-team NBA league that is part-money (16 NBA teams) and part-free (14 ABA teams). League will be scored on Fantrax with tranactions being mediated through ProFSL league message board. You can rollover salary cap to budget for a championship run and if you are in the pay league, the entry fee is equal to your salary cap ($1 US = $1m cap). As an owner, you can purchase up to five shares of NBA franchises, diversify your portfolio based on team assets and GM skill, and see a return! Majority owners have rights to the GM seat (and can remove a GM). Check it out and feel free to sign up for a team. Completing the PayPal transaction will give you your team indefinitely in the NBA unless you sold your shares off to someone else.

League board: http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?board=1556.0

If you are interested in joining then just register at ProFSL for a free account and post at the above board. Please provide the team you want (or multiple teams in case of investments) and your Fantrax.com ID.

RealGM ESPN League (ALL WELCOME!)

Post#156 » by GoSixersBro » Sat Dec 10, 2011 9:21 pm

Running a league on ESPN. Originally set it up for everyone on the 76ers forum, but due to a lack of interest I am opening it up for all of RealGM to join. All the information (rules, settings, etc.) can be found below. All I need is your e-mail address and you will receive an invite. Thanks.

For anyone else who is interested, feel free to post your e-mail address or PM it to me and I will forward along an invite. This is the only way to get an invite. I wish I could give out a password and a league ID, but now that I switched this new league to 'League Manager' edition, the only way to join is via an e-mail invite, so I will need anyone's email in order to join!

The league rules, settings, and policies are exactly the same as previously set in the first league and can be seen at the bottom of this post.

Again, you will need an ESPN.com account to register and play. Registration is quick, painless, and free. (Registration can be found at the top right corner of http://espn.go.com/)

I'm organizing a deep roto league with 20 teams, auction draft, and custom rules.

Last couple of years I've been experimenting with different formats, and found out again and again that invitation-only leagues are the ones where people actually care.

This year's project focuses on mimicking real NBA teams, limiting potential abuse of wavers/trades, and addresses also people who can't/won't check on their teams daily (which doesn't mean the league can't be active).

The draft will take place at 15:00 ET on a day most suitable for you in the last week before Xmas.

Take a look: http://games.espn.go.com/fba/leagueoffi ... ueId=96659

Sounds interesting? Then send me an email at danielkazaniecki@gazeta.pl

PS: This is a weekly line-up league so in-season maintenance is quite easier and less time consuming than daily line-up leagues.
