Are there leagues that follow the real NBA, with real players, year to year?

Toronto Huskies , Mavs , Knicks and Bulls are all available and are all pretty solid teams , the off-season is starting up in about 3 days so it's a good time to join the league and get familiar.

The league site is not loading. Is this league still running?
I've completely lost faith in today's professional athlete & fans alike.

DDS PB2 league in 2000 right now, has gone through 4 sim seasons already. Some solid teams out there still. One of the GMs just got a full HTML site going (http://foggymentalbreakdown.org/xnba/) so its much easier to join and see everything.

Hey, we starting new sim league basing on JSB engine (probably the best engine when it comes to depth charts). We haven't decided yet if we are starting from 2012 rosters or a retro sim, so if you are interesting to join just sign up to BBF (Basketball Forum) and post in this thread: http://www.basketballforum.com/frsl-gen ... ost6994855.

This is a GREAT league! We are just restarting so get in ASAP!
We currently have 18 GMs. We are looking for about 6 more.
We are going to start of with current 2012 rosters, and do a snake draft to make all the rosters fair.
It runs on the JSB program. If you have any questions, PM me on the site at "hunerman"

This will easily be the most active league you have ever been in!

Hello there!

Do you like professional basketball?
Do you like online strategy & simulation games?
Do you like writing stories and/or role-playing games?

Still there? Well then, I’d like to tell you about something you might be interested in. It’s called the Online Basketball World League (http://www.theobwl.com) and it’s a high quality fictional fantasy basketball league. In the OBWL you assume the role of General Manager of a professional basketball team. The simulation is very detailed and complete. We do it all: scout, draft, trade, sign free agents, simulate entire regular seasons and playoffs until we crown a new champion every season.

The rules are based on the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement prior to 2012. Each team has complete finances, a budget, and must navigate the ins and outs of the salary cap to assemble a potential winner.

In addition, general managers write team press releases and cover stories published on our web site publicizing the league, its teams, and its players. You can create a persona for yourself (the GM) or your superstar player. Want to write articles about controversial star modeled after a Kobe Bryant or a lovable loud mouth like Charles Barkley? In the OBWL, you can! And unlike your regular fantasy basketball rotisserie league, you will be rewarded for your creativity with participation bonuses that help improve your team on the court as well!

And just to be clear, this is an entirely FICTIONAL league. The teams and players are NOT the ones you find in the NBA. We strive to create as realistic a league as possible without resorting to “copying” from real life. The team would be YOURS and yours alone. The players, their exploits, and their personalities are YOURS to determine. That’s the real fun of it… why stand on the glory of the Celtics or Lakers or Michael Jordan when you can create your OWN legends?

The OBWL runs off the venerable yet fun Jumpshot Basketball text-based sim software. This is NOT an online console or PC gaming league. This is a full-fledged strategy game more from the perspective of the General Manager or the head coach. You control the roster. You control the game plans. You make the trades and draft the rookies to try to build a potential dynasty.

We’re currently looking for active, imaginative potential GMs who love basketball and love the unique role-play and writing aspect our league encourages. We’re not like other leagues that treat the teams and players like a list of stats or bubblegum cards to be constantly swapped. We’re a group of guys that want realism, tradition, and history to be a big part of our league and our teams and players.

So if you are interested, please e-mail me at: commissioner@theobwl.com. Check us out and join the fun!

Hey guys, I'm starting a new league called the Dunks and Buzzer Beaters Sim League, this is a GM and Agent league, so that means we need more then 29 GM's. We also need 8-16 agents so we'll need 37-45 people to get ths going so there's going to be alot of recruiting.

here's the info you need
-Number of teams-29 (plus 8-16 Agents)
-Number of open spots in the league-20 GM spots,6-14 open Agent spots
-New League or already existing one looking for replacement gm's-New League starting in the 2008-2009 season
-Which program do you use for sim-FBB
-How often will games be simmed(once a week etc.)-atleast 10-20 days a day, check the CBA on our site for more info on simming.

here's our site if your interested in being a GM:http://dunksnbuzzerbeaters.proboards.com/thread/1/gm-sign-thread

here's our site if your interested in being an agent:http://dunksnbuzzerbeaters.proboards.com/thread/2/player-agents

Also there are currently two openings for new GMs; the Washington Wizards are looking for a full time GM and the Toronto Raptors are looking for an assistant, or co-GM.

Active GM looking to join a sim league. Looking for a new league to start fresh if possible and could probably get another guy to join if you need numbers.

ESBA is going through some major changes due to problems with the sim engine. ESBA is now going to be using the Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball 2 engine. We will be doing a fantasy draft (starting very soon) and the rosters will start from 2010. Draft will be snake style and the order will be randomly generated. Rosters and ratings will be up later today for draft preparations. If interested in the league, please visit: http://esba.proboards.com There is currently two open spots, however a few more managers could dropout due to the changes. Go sign up!

Or contact me via Email at: dmend19@gmail.com

Looking for a couple active GMs, open teams are: Raptors, Warriors, Hawks, and Hornets. We're a very active league with a lot of dedicated members. Sims usually happen every day or every other day so you have to be able to check in.

The Golden Sim League is currently in season 20, 2015 league year. Scoring is currently slightly inflated, but that is likely to change through the future as less great scoring big men and point guards are coming into the league. You should also not base opinions of players on real life, since Darko is a top-3 center :) haha.
