Can the NBPA buy an NBA team?

As the NBPA has its own sources of income and expenses would buying an NBA franchise be viable if at all possible?

Could there be a future in the NBA where the players (through NBPA) own multiple teams throughout the NBA?

I doubt the NBPA has anywhere close to that sort of financial clout, because the players don't give their salaries to the NBPA.

An individual superstar player with a long career earning max money, maybe someone like Garnett, Kobe, or Lebron, is far more likely to have the resources. Jordan had the desire to get into management and eventually ownership, so it makes sense that there will be others one day.
