What? You would present an offer to the player without asking if he's interested?
Hell, maybe Sixers did ask Oden and they got a quick "no thanks"?

But IMHO the most likely scenario here is that Sixers didn't even bother to do anything because they would have to sign him to a long contract to reap benefits and Oden's camp was interested only in one year flyers to regain value.

And to ask if he was interested would take a team being interested... which by all accounts they weren't.
