Assume a player was on an end-of-season contract that was not guaranteed. The player was signed on Dec 1st and was waived on Dec 15th, well before the Jan 10th guarantee date. Is this considered 14 days or 15 days under contract?
In addition, does the 48 hour waiver period add two more days to the contract duration. making it 16 or 17 days? From some of the various sites listing non-guaranteed players being waived before Jan 10th, it seems like 2-3 days are added to the actual time with the team in pro-rating their salary.

Part days count as business days. And days on waivers, if those waivers are mid season, also count. So if a player is signed December 1st and waived December 15th, he is paid for 17 days.

That's what I was seeing with most of the partial salary numbers. While this situation is not called out specifically in the Salary Cap FAQ, I can see where being on waivers a player is still technically with the team. Thanks.
