Hey dudes, could some one explain the rules for Player options to me.
Let's say Melo opts out this offseason and re-signs with NY for 5 years $100 million.
Could he have a player option for the third season? Is that allowed?

In short, if Anthony signs a five-year contract he can have either an ETO or a PO only after his fourth year, but neither would be available to him for his third year.
