Question about contract details

Hi! Hypothetically, is possible to sign a player to $36mil/3 years but instead of paying him around $12mil a year, you can pay him $9 mil one year then $15mil the next?

To give a simplified but sufficient answer, maximum raises if you're signing your own free agent are limited to 7.5% of what the first year's salary was, while if you're signing someone else's free agent, they are limited to 4.5%. So, no.
