NBPA is probably worried that if their players sign deals now they'll be way underpaid once the cap goes way up.

Its not just the salary cap that would skyrocket. If we are talking about a 92M salary cap we are talking abuot a salary FLOOR of 82.8 and a luxury line at 121M. Seems like a really difficult transition to make in 2 seasons.

The NBA might want a gradual increase, the players will have none of that. Lebron James took a 2 year contract for a reason, as soon as that money hits the NBA he wants it. And I can't see the owners having much to stand on, what business reason do they have to deny the players their share of the money?
