On a thread in the general discussion forum, MartyConlonOnTheRun is saying that the max salary for a 0-6 years is $13,758,000, 7-9 is $16,509,600, and 10+ years is $19,261,200. Didn't see that reported on espn.com yet.

Does anyone know if the Grizzlies renounced the MLE and LLE?

You don't renounce exceptions. But in the Grizzlies case, they are so far under the salary cap that they never had the MLE or the BAE this season.

Dunk, I was under the impression that teams can renounce exceptions (or give them up, whatever the appropriate term here is). The time it would happen would be if a team wanted to use cap room instead of their exceptions (see example below). But for teams under the cap (including their exceptions), they automatically lose their exceptions, as you pointed out.
But if the cap is $58 million, and a team has $50 million in salaries and a $5 million MLE, $2 million BAE, and $3 million TPE, they're technically over the cap, but they can "renounce" those exceptions to gain the $8 million in cap room as opposed to using the different exceptions

I had always thought that the CBA used the term "renounce" only with regard to renouncing players or the rights to players. But after further research I find that the CBA does state that "A Team may at any time renounce its rights to use an Exception."

One thing that I have been watching is the various transaction lists on NBA.com, Realgm, ProsSportstransactions.com and have really not seen much as far as renouncements of players and nothing on renouncements of exceptions.
Actually, the only renouncements that have been listed were from the Clippers. Even though I am pretty sure that the Warriors & 76ers had to renounce players in order to sign Maggette, Turiaf, & Brand.
Also, can anyone confirm the max contract amounts listed above......
