Bird Rights and Unrestricted FAs.

Post#1 » by bgassassin » Fri May 8, 2009 2:54 pm

I'm probably overlooking it in Mr. Coon's CBA FAQ, but I was wondering if a team retains the Bird Rights of an unrestricted FA. The example for this is Ben Gordon.

To make it a more generic answer, "restricted" and "unrestricted" have absolutely no direct relation to Bird rights. While some tend to (erroneously) think they are somehow tied together, instead they are two entirely different issues.
