The new policy will go into affect Monday and we are starting out with the following.

We might add others in the future but we want to keep to the more popular and safer sites.

It appears that this policy also affects posting pictures in a post, not just the avatar or signature.

I tried to post an image from flikr like this:
[img]...http://www.flickr.com/photos/xorsyst/3627681312/...[/img]

and I received the message:

'Please select images from allowed sites'

Yeah, we can't even post pictures in a post now. You have to upload every single thing you try to post, which can be a hassle if you just want to share a simple picture like

Gonna be tough for people to even make game threads now, since they'll have to upload every single picture of any player. Couldn't we at least make an exception for images off sites like espn, nba, yahoo, etc? Major sites?
