View Your Posts not working after today's boards downtime

Hi. When I try to view my previous posts using the "view your posts" function, I now get an error message saying:

Sorry but you are not permitted to use the search system.

They probably re-indexed things or changed the way the features works during the downtime for some future re-opening of the search feature to the general public.

I hope it gets fixed, this + not having a search function is pretty annoying if you frequent multiple boards

I took a long break to see if they have it back up. Guess I may try again later or tomorrow. Too much of a hassle to waste time searching for posts.

They need a notification system that lets you know if your post has been replied to (and takes you there when you click the notification). It's a pretty common feature on forums these days.

I am just not wasting my time on anything but just one board since the View Your Posts feature has been down. Well, I haven't logged into RealGM much since either.

Can a mod tell us what's going on? Finding posts has gotten really cumbersome. I know you guys are busy but this was one of the most convenient parts of surfing RealGM.

Agreed. Its either a really good sign, as in they've got it 100% under control, or a really bad sign, like it doesnt matter.

If that feature goes, I probably dont venture anywhere but the GSW board, and I don't put much time in there anymore either. It was a great feature, I hope they bring it back soon

Yea. That would be cool. When a poster quotes another poster, but doesn't get a response, it can sometimes come off as a feeling of disrespect. I feel bad when I find out that someone quoted me 20 posts back, but I failed to respond to them because I simply didn't know about it. I try to show respect to everyone on the boards.

That being said, I'd simply settle for the 'View Your Posts' function working again
