I don't think so. He has a legitimate point, but is thinking ideally. People will always take something's intended function and change/build upon it. It's how the world works

Actually no, mods can nullify my and'1s, i get enough hugs irl. Me (with some help) and Thespianoid explained how we were using that button and what it ment for us. My goal is to make mods do something about it, because year ago it was working, and was pretty helpfull. I actualy think only on Raptors board this button means "freehug", it still serve its purpose on other boards (If finding quality posts was its purpose)

As i see post was moved too sugestions, i think i should have predicted what Realgm Raptors will do with my thread

So now ill add constructive sugestion.

What if there would be 2 buttons :

1) HighFive button, free for all, used as you wish as many times, so kids could play.
2) And1 button, each user gets ability too and1 1-3 times per 24hours, ability too and1 doesnt add, you cannot collect it by holding in pocket. So more mature users and same kids would think twice before and1 something.

The And1 function came not too long ago and many posters who have high post counts in relation to And1s simply have been here too long for the ratio aspect to be relevant.

You wanna read someone's post? Read it. Don't read the And1 counter.

You're trying to get people to And1 the type of posts that you like to read... that won't work.
