Carmelo Anthony Admits Knicks Didn't Accomplish Goal

The New York Knicks lost to the Indiana Pacers in six games of the Eastern Conference semifinals, and Carmelo Anthony acknowledged the team failed in accomplishing its goal.

“It’s tough. We all know what the goal was,” Anthony said after the Pacers captured Game 6. “Everybody wanted to go to the championship. That’s the ultimate goal. Unfortunately, our run has to stop here."

The Knicks had the third seed going against the second-seeded Pacers.

“I really don’t know (what happened)," Anthony said. “I have to sit back and think about it."

We weren't third seed we were second and won our division that's why we had home court.

As did Indiana, reason you had home court is because of a better record, Indiana being 2nd is a typo in the article.

Melos selfish style of play will never win him a championship. You have to be a team player in this day and age, ask Iverson.

On a side note, I couldnt think of a better franchise more deserving of Carmelo Anthony.

I really like Spike Lee, and respect his stuff as a Producer... but he's the most annoying fan to watch in all of Professional Sports. Glad the Knicks are out, so I don't see his muppet self making a scene at the bottom of TV screens. It's an eyesore.

The Knicks lost to a better team. Im not hating but you guys are too old, you just couldnt keep up. You need a real PG who can really push the pase and someone needs to remind Melo about the other 4 players on the floor. Hero ball loses every time
