Danilo Gallinari will have surgery next week to repair the ACL in his left week.
Galinari and the Denver Nuggets are hoping the forward returns to the lineup around February.
Masai Ujiri, who recently took the GM job of the Toronto Raptors, visited Gallinari on Monday.
Gallinaro has been rehabilitating in the team's weight room since an operation in late April to fix the meniscus in a knee he hurt April 4.
