Monta Ellis Informs Bucks Of Decision To Opt-Out

Monta Ellis has informed the Milwaukee Bucks that he will opt out of his contract for the 13-14 NBA season.


Ellis had an option for $11 million.


The Bucks had offered Ellis an extension worth $36 million.

Oh looks like I got his age wrong, disregard my last comment about his age, but I still think he is an inefficient scorer, so can he get more than 12 million a year? I still doubt that.

I said it before and I'll say it again - any scrub guard can make 7 baskets if you let him shoot 18 a game. Conclusion: Monta Ellis is a scrub. A scrub shouldn't get $11M a year.

With the new strict salary cap rules, nobody wants to give the max to an undersized SG, with no PG playmaking skills.
