The San Antonio Spurs announced guard Patty Mills has exercised his player option and will return to the team next season.

In 74 games with the Spurs, Mills has averaged 6.2 points, 1.4 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 12.4 minutes.

Mills was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 55th pick in the 2009.

I was hoping he would opt out. bulls could've used him as our second pg when hinrich falls to injury. he wont get any mins on that team. he knows that. he must think the spurs going back to the finals again next year. I don't think that will happen with okc getting better
