Kings To Hire Chris Mullin In Front Office Role

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Sep 4, 2013 5:32 pm

Chris Mullin will join the Sacramento Kings' front office in a role beyond his previous advising position, according to sources.

Pete D'Alessandro and Vivek Ranadive have recruited Mullin to join the franchise.

When Ranadive hired D'Alessandro, he credited Mullin's strong recommendation as a key factor, saying: "[Mullin] told me Pete's the smartest guy out there."

Mullin had been an ESPN analyst.

Kings are still young and nowhere near the Warriors, but at least we beat them 3 out of the 4 games last season. :D

It's really getting pathetic. How many more of our scraps do they want to pick up?

Why are you so quick to forget where we've come from? I guess I can't blame you though. This team has been sucking for so long, it's probably easy for us fans to feel as though we're still stuck to the bottom of the NBA's shoe.

As for the other comments... Randive scraps? Malone trash? If the Warriors keep discarding choice cuts like these they're going to end up skinny and starving. Hope you guys don't feel too butthurt if you end up looking up at us in the standings in the next 3-5 years. If in that time D'Allesandro turns out to be as smart as Mully says he is, then I don't think I'll mind having Chris as an adviser. Just don't give him the reigns.

Badmouth our choices all you want, I'm under no illusions y'all. We want to move up in the world and Golden State isn't a bad team to model ourselves after.

Not that we will.
NoCal love yo.
