Pistons Could Use Positional Excess For Versatility, Possible Trade

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Sep 23, 2013 12:08 pm

The Detroit Pistons could become major players in the trade market this season due to excess on their roster at guard and small forward.

Josh Smith figures to start at small forward, but will also spend time at power forward. The Pistons also have Kyle Singler, Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome at small forward.

“We have a lot of flexibility,” Smith said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if guys played different positions in the backcourt or along the front line, depending on matchups.”

um, so they are overloaded at some positions with average players. Whoopty doo. I doubt their phone lines are lighting up over those guys. Maybe they should have acquired fewer small forwards? Maybe?

They sure are versatile (NO TALENT,) but versatile.

Farrell's articles are almost as bad as Keith Langlois at this point in the offseason.

Put them in the West and they rank higher than the Lakers.

I thought it was going to be an article about how they should trade Monroe for a SF or a stretch 4.
