Lawrence Frank To Hire Legal Counsel For Likely Buyout Settlement

Lawrence Frank is in the process of gathering a “high-powered” legal counsel, likely to settle a buyout with the Brooklyn Nets.

Frank signed a six-year, roughly $6 million deal with the Nets in the offseason to be Jason Kidd's lead assistant coach.

Frank was reassigned to "daily reports" and no game or practice presense on Tuesday.

Kidd cited different philosophies in the split.

You're acting like Kidd had nothing to do in that series wtf. He played a huge part, he defended LeBron well from time to time, made some clutch shots and was a big part of that championship run.

Plain as day why Kidd did this. The vet players were starting to lean more towards Frank and think he should be coaching the team over Kidd. He got rid of Frank so that he didn't end up losing his job over a team mutiny that the players voiced preference for Frank.

The clock is ticking J Kidd. Hiring you straight off retirement was an insult to every coach who has put blood, sweat, and tears into getting where they are, Try high school but stay away from the girls if you can.

What a huge mess for the Nets. It's so obvious what needs to happen here, fire Kidd, hire Frank. The guy won his first 13 career coaching games. Imagine if the Nets won 13 straight, they'd be a 3 seed easily.

I love Kidd, hes from the same city as me. But the guy is dumb as rocks, he failed his SAT like 6 times before he got into Cal. How can anyone expect him to manage a team?
