Who else can they sign for low money? I haven't seen him play recently but he can provide short-term help while CP3 is out. Better risk than Hedo in my opinion (and probably cheaper).

Wrong.....it's hard as hell for Clipper fans to get Laker tickets. Of course they are rivals. They play in the same city and hate each other! Have you noticed that when the Lakers visit the Clippers there is an even split of Lakers and Clippers fans, and the same when the Clippers go play at the Lakers' Staples Center? It's the same new rivalry thats been created between the Knicks and Nets.
