Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jan 28, 2014 1:44 pm

Dante Exum has decided to declare for the 2014 NBA Draft, according to a report from Chad Ford of ESPN.

Exum and his family met eight different agents in Melbourne over the past month.

He has agreed to hire agent Rob Pelinka and Brandon Rosenthal of Landmark Sports Agency.

The Australian phenom is widely regarded as a potential top-five pick.

School is for fools*

*when you're virtually guaranteed 3kk/year for the next 3 years with a 4th year option.

I guess when you come from poverty/middle class (barely any difference these days) then if you don't have money, you're not living. Some of these guys sacrifice their own education/long-term career path to provide for their families and that's pretty honourable.

Even though they may make millions in the process :)

What are you talking about? Hes Aussie? They have a lot of money lol. His dad was drafted and played pro....so Im assuming money comes along with that. I think its more about his performance with international competition and what he did against the potential upcoming draft picks. He saw he was ready so go for it. Aussie Highschool Diploma is probably better than American education loll

I was going to say the same thing, his dad is an ex-pat American who played pro ball over here in Australia for years before becoming an Australian citizen. I don't think it's a need for money. I'm reasonably sure also that he played in the boom of Australian basketball where there was more money around than there is today.
