GM: Wiggins Becoming Aggressive, Playing With More Poise

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Feb 4, 2014 3:54 pm

Andrew Wiggins has progressed during his freshman season at Kansas.

Wiggins has played great defense and increased his three-point percentage to 37 percent.

"He's playing so much better," one GM said. "He's becoming aggressive. He's playing with more poise. He missed a lot of shots on Saturday, but many of them were good shots that just didn't go down. He's going to have to get better at finishing around the basket in traffic, but lately he's been playing like the Wiggins we knew in high school. I think he's still very much in the running for the No. 1 pick. If I were choosing between him and Embiid, I don't know what I'd do."

I knew it was just take some time for this guy to get comfortable. Once he puts it all together, look out.

Yeah, playing on a deep team and being a first year player, it isn't easy fitting into the rotation right off the bat. He's done a steady job and is improving. And that is all GM's need to see to recognize potential. I'm rooting for the Canadian kid.

Now's the best time with March Madness around the corner, this guy did say he wants a National Championship. The Jayhawks will be in the thick of things come March Madness if they can remain healthy and play with consistency.

He would be one of the most athletic players in the league as soon as he steps on the floor.

Honestly his face reminds me more of Damian Lillard, than Jodie Meeks, at least in this photo.

Personally, I still think that he'll go #1 overall. Embiid may go #2, or #3. I think that Parker will go at number two, and Embiid #3. Kansas will probably have three players in the top 10 though (Selden is the third).
