Kings Optimistic DeMarcus Cousins' Hip Flexor Injury Not Serious

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Feb 13, 2014 6:37 pm

DeMarcus Cousins left the Sacramento Kings' win on Wednesday over the New York Knicks with a strained left hip flexor.

“I don’t think it’s anything serious,” Mike Malone said. “I think it’s a hip flexor strain but we’ll get a much better idea what it is once I speak with (trainer) Pete (Youngman) and over the break I’m sure he’ll get the necessary treatment.”

Cousins was a strong All-Star candidate with one of the NBA's best player efficiency rating's this season, but wasn't selected.

They haven't shown they can win a single game this season without him, so if he's out for any length of time could get ugly.

Demarcus being injured is a curse and a blessing. It's gives our young guys more XP but its tough losing with our big man though. If we had Kenny Tran, we be unstoppable.

Demarcus is a MONSTER and should be on the All star team.
