Rick Adelman Retires As Head Coach

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Apr 21, 2014 4:13 pm

Rick Adelman retired from coaching in the NBA after 23 seasons as a head coach.

Adelman will remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves in a consultant role.

Adelman ranks eighth all-time in NBA coaching wins with a 1042-749 (.582 winning percentage) career record in 23 seasons as a head coach. Adelman took over a Wolves team prior to the 2011-12 campaign that had won 15 and 17 games the previous two seasons, and won 26, 31 and 40 games under his leadership.

I wish Corbin would just retire. Sometimes coaches don't work out. T-Wolves need to hit panic button, cause who can they even get better than Adelman? Not to mention they promised a playoff, and fans.....well they got nothing.

Avalanche are beating their hockey team in playoffs, Vikings suck even though they got Matt Asiata, and Adrian Peterson. Then to top it off, their T-Wovles have Kevin Love, yet haven't been to playoff since Garnett.

Wow... well I wish Adelman happiness in whatever he pursues next... assuming the consultant position isn't exactly full time.

Historically great coach.
