Jeremy Tyler To Sign In China After Being Waived By Lakers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Oct 20, 2014 2:36 am

The Los Angeles Lakers will waive Jeremy Tyler to allow him to sign a deal in China.

Tyler spent last season with the New York Knicks and in the D-League.

Tyler was traded to the Sacramento Kings in the offseason and subsequently waived.

i'm surprised that there isn't a team that wants him. i mean he certainly isn't a starter and he won't be the first man off the bench on a playoff team but he's definitely not a scrub either, the guy can play spot backup minutes in this league for sure

I really am shocked that this kid keeps getting dumped. He clearly has talent. You mean to tell me that someone like Cole Aldrich can stay in this league, but he can't?

THis guy skipped out on 2 years of unpaid ball in the US (sr hs year & fresh college), for a 3 year fringe career of an NBA player.

I remember hearing about this guy (my age) when I was 15-16. Its a shame. I feel bad for him.

Not too bad though, he's probably making a mil in china to ball for a couple months.

Kid has some good physical tools but for whatever reason couldn't put it all together. Good luck in China!

I agree, and it is a shame... all he has to do is get his head right, focus, and work hard on his complete game instead of showing flashes of one or the other in spurts.

I like him, he played decently for us, and I do wish him well.
