France's Mam Jaiteh has been invited to the NBA Draft combine in Chicago, but will decline due to the continuation of his French league, a source told RealGM.
Jaiteh, 20, has had a standout season for one of France's best teams, JSF Nanterre, averaging 11.3 points and and 6.3 rebounds. Over his last 10 season games, Jaiteh has scored 12.7 points and grabbed 7.4 rebounds per game.
A 6-foot-11 prospect, Jaiteh entered the NBA radar after his participation in the 2013 Nike Hoop Summit, where he, Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony Towns helped lead the international team to a win over the Team USA.
If he remains in the June draft as an early entry, Jaiteh is expected to be ranked between the sixth to twelfth big man selected.
Jaiteh is represented by agent Herman Manakyan, who has two other French prospects, Yannis Morin and Kevin Dinal, automatically eligible for the 2015 draft and are attracting interest as late second round possibilities.
