Apparently Kawhi was too. He had more total points than Kyrie or Klay and isn't on

It is based on position.

They need to get rid of the center position on this ballad.

Marc Gasol is a solid player (puts up 14 and 8 most years) but he is FAR FAR FAR from 1st team all-nba talent.

You can't get rid of the middle of a ballad! Then it would no longer be a complete ballad!

Ask any GM in the NBA if he's 1st team All-NBA talent or not.

He is not far, he is right there. He is just not your typical superstar. It's not only about your stats, it's about the impact you have in the game. The center position is crucial and Marc has been the most voted center for a reason.

Right observation about Gasol, wrong solution.

DeMarcus Cousins is the superstar center, the First Team All NBA guy, and he doesn't have to be apologized for. His team does. But 24.1pts 12.7reb 3.6ast 1.5stl 1.7blks = a legit First Team All NBA statline.

They did my man Demarcus Cousins wrong. Cant believe he didnt get any votes. John Wall too should have made third team.

If the center position was removed from the voting like the asg ,Cousins and Jordan likely don't make it - media members voted them in because a lot of the other centers on the ballot were either injured or had a down year. But there were a lot of deserving forwards who played well this season. If the nba had included centers as forwards - Aldridge likely switches places with marc gasol, griffin moves to 2nd team while jimmy butler and kawhi leonard - who had great seasons and were already voted by the media for other awards make the third team. Hawks forwards could also have made the third team. Pau Gasol and Blake Griffin both deserve to be on the 2nd team, Gasol lead the league in double doubles. Demarcus Cousins does not deserve to be on any of these teams - he benefits from the kevin love effect by putting up big scoring and rebounding #s on a garbage team. He's also a coach killer and far from being a respectable leader for the kings.

Damian Lillard and his agent are probably pissed. Lillard didn't make the third team like last season. He is not popular enough to get voted in as starter in asg. If Aldridge bolts as a ufa, blazers likely become lottery team next season and he likely wont't make the all nba team if he misses the playoffs. So lillard will lose the rose rule bonus of 15% on his max extension like kyrie did this year.

basketball is a 5 position game, each position needs to be acknowledged and rewarded. Whats with all this remove the C position business, its bad enough they removed it from the all star game but now people are saying it shouldnt be involved in all NBA teams. We might as well get rid of it all together and play 4 on 4
