the executive was just talking out of his ass. The guy who said it probably works for the Lakers  I'm glad the writer if this news clip mentioned the fact that they are not free agents at the same time.

Exactly what I was going to say. The exec is an exec for the Lakers.

Seems plausible especially given that Westbrook + Harden grew up in LA.

The overall tone of the article- LA is NBA OZ- seems overdone. Nice place to spend the winter, great nba heritage but it hasnt exactly been a free agent magnet over the years. They have to scratch and
claw to recruit free agents just like everyone else.

So this exec thinks that if they reunite in LA the most ball dominant backcourt conceivable could actually work? lol I'm sure KD would love to join them too to stick it to OKC. Keep dreaming

I'm more hearing Durant wanting to join harden in Houston. Durant has a better relation with harden then they do with Westbrook. Adding Durant, Houston is a automatic contender. Durant played college ball in Texas and already has a good amount of fan base in any of the Texas teams. Houston has a top notch gm that has improved their team every year.

"Execs" also said forever that Love was going to bolt for LA at the first chance he got. Today he signed a 5 year deal for $110. I don't know if I see it.

Because think about? You have top stars in L.A., you can make a lot more money off the court in L.A.

Maybe 10, 15 years ago, nowadays it really doesn't matter. Guys can get paid and get attention anywhere, social media and the internet in general have helped to kill a lot of the edge that the big market teams had. You can play in a small market and still get that bread. The Lakers will always be a premier FA destination I believe but it will never go back to what it once was, their advantage will never be what it once was, they have to compete on much more even footing with other teams which means their front office in general will have less margin for error.

San Francisco is going to be the new Los Angeles once the Warriors cross the Bay. The millenials coming up would probably rather be seen with Silicon Valley billionaires than Zach Efron and Selena Gomez.

Oh just stop with the bogus reporting for LA and NYK. Its the same every year. Hyped to the max and then nobody goes there. Monroe to NY was supposed to be a lock, and the Bucks beat them for him, so below the Bucks is about the current spot on the pecking order.

Stop embarrassing yourselves.

I'm guessing the executive who thinks Harden and Westbrook are going to LA rhymes with Fitch Mupchack?

I think some one has been smoking to much crack - The by the time those two are ready to sign, they will have lost their edge(just slightly, but still some) and will no longer be at the peak of their game. The Lakers best chances is the group of young players and hope to develop them like the Warriors did. Then they will attract some young healthy and talented players that will lead them back to the promised land
