Andrew Wiggins Won't Compete In Toronto Dunk Contest

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Feb 3, 2016 4:47 pm

Andrew Wiggins remains uninterested in competing the dunk contest.

The 2016 All-Star Game is in Wiggins' hometown of Toronto and he'll play in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday.

"My story is, I lost in high school, right when I was in the McDonald's [All-]American Game, so I really don't do ... dunks anymore," Wiggins said during an interview with ESPN.com. "I kind of retired that back, left that in high school, so I don't really do it anymore.

"Right now, you can give it to him [Zach LaVine]. I won't be doing all the surprise dunks. I just keep it simple -- one hand, two hands."

During the interview, Karl-Anthony Towns joked with Wiggins, "They want you in that [dunk] contest bad."

Wiggins shook his head and said, "Me? Nah. I lost. I'm not doing it again. Maybe one day, but right now, I lost in high school and I thought I should've won, so I'm just ..."

90210 was right: life does revolve around our teenage high school days.

He really should've won that dunk contest though, Chris Walker only won cause he made his dunks on the first try. He and Aaron Gordon had great showings

I'd love for the dunk contest to be Wiggins, Aaron Gordon, Lavine and John Wall

A Major bust project who went to Florida for 2 years. He was a Top 10 rated prospect out of HS in 2013 with Wiggins, Parker, etc. but just didn't pan out in college and went undrafted and now in D-League

This is what's wrong with the younger generations :noway:
“And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.” -Alan Moore
