You want chip on shoulder scoring wing who's available? No better option than Melo --if that is what they are looking for.
I think YOU want them to add a scoring wing (and testically, Melo isn't available unless he waives his no-trade clause); Ainge is on record saying they pursued Okafor (a center) @ the deadline. And ofc there have bn endless K-Love (another big) rumors. I think they want to snag ANY featured player/superstar. And that's part of the beauty of their situation; they can can accommodate a star player @ any position and then shift personnel and roles accordingly.
Obviously they're not a finished product and their current make-up is more a function of them being opportunistic and working with what's available than some grand scheme to assemble some chip on their shoulder, blue collar superteam. If Bron or Melo or Love or Aldridge wldv bn willing to sign with them, they wldv pounced. Don't be surprised to see Dwight end up in Beantown after all the big fish re-sign with their current teams. Signing Dwight and say, trading for CP3 (Clips WILL blow it up this summer) vaults them to the East's upper echelon. Also, both would have chips on their shoulders btw.
And oh yah, tell the 04 Pistons that you can't win w/o a superstar
