Dahntay Jones Suspended For Game 4 For Striking Biyombo

Dahntay Jones has been suspended one game without pay for striking Bismack Biyombo in the groin, it was announced by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.


The incident occurred with 17.6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the Raptors’ 99-84 win over the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 21 at Air Canada Centre. Jones will serve his suspension on Monday, May 23 during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Jones has nothing to offer except dirty plays. Signing him is like signalling that you condone attempts to injure opponents. If only he could have been drafted to the NFL and played for the Saints.

Draymond Green is getting suspended too, right? He's had 2 shots at Steven Adams nuts, one of which was caught in game. Clearly the NBA wouldn't suspend a nobody for doing it but look the other way when one of their bright, shining Warriors does it repeatedly - right NBA??

Yeah, but if you read section 15 paragraph c in the refs handbook it clearly states that if you average more than 10 points a game it's legal to batter your opponents testicles.

Personally I think the kick looks dirtier/more blatant than the play on Biyombo, but I doubt the league suspends an all star.

Dahney Jones is a loser. He's a terrible player.

But he's useful for his dirty tactics.
