Wolves Likely To Trade Ricky Rubio, Reject Significant Offers To Select Kris Dunn

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 24, 2016 12:09 am

The Minnesota Timberwolves declined several attractive offers for the fifth overall pick to select Kris Dunn.

The decision appears predicated on the Wolves' attempts to trade Ricky Rubio. Tom Thibodeau has been active in shopping Rubio throughout the week and his tenure with the franchise is likely coming to an end.

What's so bad?

It'd be interesting what Thibs could do with Dunn

Thanks for the honesty.

There is no indication from anybody in the organisation that we are trading Rubio. It is not strange, since statistically (I'm talking quality stats) Rubio has been our best player this season and everybody who watches the Wolves knows how important and good of a player he is. Dunn will play backup PG we desperately need and maybe in some dual PG lineups with Rubio with Lavine on the bench.

You can't play Dunn and Rubio together as neither can shoot consistently.

If Dunn pans out he can be almost as good as Rubio, actually probably not. Would be interested in seeing Thibs with Rubio, best defensive pg in the league

Rubio is underrated in the NBA. He needs to play with some veteran that are great spot up shooters.
