LeBron James Hasn't Given Cavs Date Of When He'll Re-Sign

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Jul 16, 2016 1:24 am

LeBron James has yet to inform the Cleveland Cavaliers of when he'll sign his new deal with the team.

James is in no rush to agree upon terms as he continues to be a free agent for the third straight season.

Even though J.R. Smith and the Cavaliers have yet to agree upon a new deal, James' delay is not at all related.

Going to join KD to create a super team, just because he can.

 LoL, Lebron loves to play games... He just doesn't trust the front office that's all. he wants to make sure they don't do anything stupid before he resigns. resign coach lue first, give J.R his extension first, sign bird man and do whatever is necessary to help him beat Warriors again and then Lebron will resign

Putting constant pressure on the FO is the only way to stay competitive. Lebron knows this

Yup! Durant and Westbrook should have done this when the FO wouldn't give Harden the money he deserves. They would all be nba champions already

They weren't UFA's at the time so they had no leverage.

Can someone explain to me if there is any benefit from LeBron waiting to sign? I mean is there some loophole in the CBA in which this delay benefits either LeBron and/or Cleveland?

I don't see how it would from my knowledge of the CBA but maybe I'm missing something?

He's a free agent so there is speculation that he uses this to pressure the Cavs to continue to improve their roster. I personally think he likes to stay relevant in the news... but I've been wrong before.
