Chris Bosh Continues To Pursue NBA Return

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Nov 20, 2016 7:31 pm

Chris Bosh continues to pursue a return to the NBA despite his issues with blood clots.

Both and the Miami Heat remain at odds about his health and he is unlikely to play again for the franchise.

The Heat could waive Bosh but they would receive no cap relief if he plays 25 games with another team.

Bosh is signed through the 18-19 season.

The heat are pushing hard for an amnesty clause in the new cba but it likely won't happen since many nba teams do not carry bad deals right now or they were signed under the 2011 cba at 4 or 5 year lengths and are much easier to swallow. Timberwolves would probably love to get rid of Nikola Pekovic who seems to be dealing with career threatening injuries like Bosh. Brooklyn Nets have also been lobbying for some cap relief after buying out Deron Williams a season ago using the stretch provision but now with the cap forecasts not a s high as originally projected his buyout amount is eating in their ability to sign multiple free agents in order to contend. They can't build through the draft because they dealt their picks for the foreseeable future in the awful KG-Pierce Celtics deal. Pistons have same issue with Josh Smiths buyout amount still on their cap. I think Bosh will sit out this season and resolve his dispute in the summer with the help of the players union.

Doesn't Bosh get paid if he just retires now because of health issues? If he does, he might as well just call it a day. No team in their right mind will want to pick up that contract or take on the burden of responsibility of putting him on the court with his blood clot history.

Cavs or Bulls should give him spot minutes and hire a doctor to monitor him.

Bosh doctor thinks he can play.
