Knicks Considering Starting Kristaps Porzingis At Center

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jan 17, 2017 6:50 pm

The New York Knicks are considering starting Kristaps Porzingis at center.

Many have suggested Porzingis' best future is at center.

"We’ve got to look at everything. ... In the long run, we’ve got to look at hey, when KP comes back, what, will it change everything all together and what it will do?," said Jeff Hornacek. "Sometimes it’s a chance you have to take, but we continue to look over that. We just need to mix it up maybe a little more."

Moving Porzingis to center would send Joakim Noah to the second unit and move Carmelo Anthony to power forward.

Players have privately complained about Hornacek's unpredictable rotations recently.

Zingis at Center and Melo at power forward would be a good choice.

I miss the old times.
Id like to see SHAQ vs Porzingis.Shaq would break him into 2 halves.

NOBODY could defend Shaq. He was an unstoppable force.

With that being said, I would love to see Shaq out on the perimeter trying to defend KP

If Porzingis played in Shaq's era, who is to say that his game wouldn 't be different and weight more to play center.

And Shaq wouldn't get the ball, if KP started with it

Phil Jackson. Just 120 games and a $70 million contract to Noah behind the rest of the league in seeing the light.

Move him to center so he's not chasing guys around the perimeter as much. That's what killed Ralph Sampson's career. And moving Carmelo to power forward would be wise too.

Noah's been awful, and Melo has always had his best success at the 4. Playing him at the 3 slows down the game and it's not just because of the iso, it's because of spacing. Noah has been terrible, he should not be starting. O'quinn has been better, I'd even lead toward Hernangomez over him.
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:
