The Baltimore Orioles believe Michael Morse had injury woes that "pre-dated" the team's trade with the Seattle Mariners.
Morse will be a free agent this offseason and the Orioles aren't currently pursuing any action in relation to the Mariners.
Morse is expected to undergo surgery on his left wrist after receiving a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic.
"I think if you look at the history, he had a couple things going on there and wasn't able to perform when we got him," Dan Duquette said. "I think the wrist issues probably predated him joining the team."
