The San Francisco Giants front office congratulated the Kansas City Royals front office on a job well done by sending them some celebratory pizza on Monday.
Minsky's Pizza filled the order for the World Series champions.
"The San Francisco Giants just called -- and they want to send 25 pizzas to Kauffman Stadium for the Royals and their staff," said Kenny Kantner, Manager and Partner for Minsky's. "It was a pretty exciting moment -- especially when the Giants wanted to include this note: 'Have fun planning the parade – and enjoy the ride!'"
Andrew Baggarly reports the tradition actually started with the Boston Red Sox last year. They sent pizza to the Giants after they defeated the Royals in seven games.
